Congress is investigating $58B withheld from employee’s wages but not turned in! The IRS is being asked why it has not recovered the money from 1.6 million businesses, as reported by ABC: http://abcnews.go.com:80/WN/story?id=5467328&page=1. If the FairTax had been in place this would not be happening because the money would not have been withheld in the first place. Let your Congressman know how you feel about this!

Apathy. That is the word I would use to describe the prevailing attitude in Roanoke and Southwest Virginia in the matter of federal tax reform. To be sure, there are dyed-in-the-wool activists and head-nodding supporters. But, there are also quizzical-looking listeners, it’ll-never-happen deniers, I-haven’t-got-the-time spectators, and I’m-not-interested wave-awayers.
Roanoke Tea Party will rally at Elmwood Park in downtown Roanoke on April 15th from 5:30-7:30 pm.
Two important events will take place near April 15th. The first is “Storm the Hill – Operation FairTax Victory,” a program to bring citizen suppport for the FairTax directly to our legislators in Washington. The second is a movie, “An Inconvenient Tax,” about our tax code and ways to replace it, to be shown at the Grandin Theater.
