Liberal Democrat supports the FairTax
In a post at RunningInCircles.com, Connor Carney spells out why he supports the FairTax. In “The Progressive Democrats’ Sales Tax,” he does a pretty good job of describing what the FairTax is. Although, he fails to explain that about the 22% in embedded federal taxes that will be removed from the costs of goods and services before the FairTax is applied, several of his bloggers do it for him. The comments attached to Carney’s article are very interesting and touch on many of the arguments for and against the FairTax. Those who miss-state the facts are quickly corrected. In addition, several like-minded liberal Democrats write to support his stand. It’s all well worth the read.
