Goodlatte must be convinced
Rep. Bob Goodlatte is not yet a supporter of the FairTax. Although he has introduced legislation to do away with the income tax and the IRS, he has not yet come over to the FairTax as a logical replacement. This means that those of us who are supporters have to work harder to convince him. He has received lots of books and (presumably) has read one of them. RAFT believes that the best way to influence him is through constituent action. It’s up to all of us to continually remind him that we want the FairTax, and soon!
His district (VA-06) consists of all or parts of the following Virginia counties: Alleghany, Amherst, Augusta, Bath, Bedford, Botetourt, Highland, Roanoke, Rockbridge, Rockingham, and Shenandoah.
Go to his campaign appearances and ask him why he has not signed on as a co-sponsor.? Call his local (540-857-2672) or Washington (202-225-5431) office.? Send a fax to his local (540-857-2675) or Washington (202-225-9681) office. Urge him to sign on as a co-sponsor of the FairTax legislation.
